Although the numbers are not out yet from the North Carolina and South Carolina Multiple Listing Service for the month of January 2014,  Carolina Farms & Estates is off to a good year.

Increased activity on the phone and website has led to quite a few properties going under contract and a good amount of new listings.

We continue to see a correlation between properties that are priced right and properties that are not on the market for a long time. If you are a seller and your property has been on the market for a long time, it may be time to think about getting another market analysis and lowering your price if the market suggests so.

If you are a buyer, you need to stay on top of properties that are newly listed. Again, the properties that are priced right are not on the market very long!. Do not hesitate to give us a call if you are looking for something in particular and you cannot find it on the market. We know of many properties that are not listed on the market, yet the owner is willing to sell. Don't assume that you will pay more for a property that has not been listed and marketed for sale. Sellers have many reasons why they do not market their property. Many sellers may simply not want to market their home or land, but are willing to sell at a fair market value.

After receiving many comments and jabs about our empty sign frame at our office on Hands Mill Hwy in Rock Hill, South Carolina, the sign finally arrived. Tim Helline and Kyle Hoover took some time out of their busy day and hung the sign. Thanks guys! We just need to add the finishing touches with some top-soil, mulch, decorative rocks and plants!

Carolina Farms & Estates is proud to announce that 2012 was a very good year for selling farms and large tracts of land! If you have a large tract of land or a home with acreage, now is a great time to give us a call and talk about selling. Due to the large number of land sales in 2012, OUR LAND INVENTORY IS DOWN.

We have a number of BUYERS LOOKING for a specific type of land or farm that is not in our inventory or on the market. If you have been thinking of SELLING YOUR LAND OR FARM, give us a call to discuss what we can do for you. You just might have the type of land our buyers are searching for! We look forward to visiting your farm or walking your land and discussing what Carolina Farms & Estates can do for you!

Exciting news for Fort Mill and York County, South Carolina. Shutterfly has announced plans to move it's operations, along with 637 jobs, to the Fort Mill area. Approximately 400 of the 637 jobs will be new positions! This is great for the high unemployment rate in the surrounding area.

What is really awesome about the move is that most of the 237 current employees will be able to keep their employment with the company. The relocation of Shutterfly's operations to Fort Mill, South Carolina is within approximately 10 miles from the current location in the Charlotte, North Carolina area.

A lot has been happening since a week ago. We have a new roof on the building and after the old shingles were removed, we had no roof damage that needed repaired!! Hard to believe after all the damage we found after removing
Our new office location renovation is moving along. The exterior shingles have been removed and any framing and boards that needed to be fixed have been repaired. The roofer has been scheduled and the windows have been ordered. The back door and porch door are getting replaced, but I have decided to leave the original front door. I am a sucker for "old" wood doors! The bathroom has been gutted and
